“Coming Up For Air” is out now!!!!

Posted on 11/01/11 by DVS*

All year long, I’ve been back and forth between the road and the studio, with these pieces of music lingering in my ears. Today is the day where I show you the fruits of my labor. Today I release my second album. Today is harvest day.

For a limited time, “Coming Up For Air” will be available exclusively though the D.V.S* bandcamp page at dvsmusic.bandcamp.com.

This double album contains 30 songs broken into 2 hemispheres.

Volume 1 (DUSK) showcases 15 sizzling dancefloor tracks.  Hip hop, dubstep, electrofunk, and moombaton are all explored through the lens of an electric guitar.

Volume 2 (dawn) illuminates the more relaxed side of my work, with 15 sexy downtempo tunes. Slide guitar, layered voices, and mandolin harmonies were welcomed into the spotlight for these compositions.

Special guests include producers Michal Menert & Kappa, violinist Govinda, vocalists Chantel, Arman Christoff & Mestre Acordeon, and emcee Dust77.

DigBoston comments on the (dawn) sound by saying, “It’s as though he crossed sound waves with Bon Iver, only to meet Flying Lotus, all the while running alongside Thom Yorke. Many musicians can keep you moving all night, but few know a soundtrack for welcoming day-break, while bringing comfort to the soul.”

I hope you dig. Please spread the word, by telling all your friends. I will greatly appreciate it.  We both deserve this honor.
